The photograph was clandestinely passed around among photographers and publicists in Hollywood as a method of symbolic protest to the Hays Code.
But. But can we talk about the fact that this singular image that thoroughly violates the Hays Code in every possible way is a powerful, self-possessed woman who is not even close to fucking around. Because I feel like that’s relevant to the discussion.

Seriously. We were raised to believe, and are still told, that Baby Boomers are the Majority. That when we vote, it does’t count because there are just so many of them.
